Start by researching the Australian PR process and finding the right visa category for you. Once you know the correct visa, make sure you’re eligible, and gather all the necessary documents before you apply, if required we can guide you with it.
Some visa types require you to prove you have good English skills. You can do this by taking an approved English test, like IELTS or PTE, within the last three years. If you want to claim higher English points, it is advised to spend some time preparing before attempting the test.
For many visas, you need to first submit an "Expression of Interest" (EOI) to show you’re interested in applying. After that, you will wait for an invitation to apply for your visa. Check the Department of Home Affairs website for specific steps related to your visa.
Once approved, you will become a permanent resident of Australia. This gives you many of the same rights as citizens, but there are some differences. For example, citizens can automatically return to Australia, but permanent residents need a valid visa to re-enter. Citizens can vote, but most permanent residents cannot.
Permanent residents can access many Australian government services, but some services may be available only to citizens. The government will decide who is eligible for different services.
Getting Australian PR is a big step and can take time, so make sure you follow all the steps carefully and gather all the documents you need. If you're unsure, we can help guide you through the process by connecting with our in-house consultants/ migration agents.
